TERRITORIUM AND SKILLS BASED EDUCATION FOCUSING ON MATHEMATICS

TERRITORIUM  AND SKILLS BASED EDUCATION FOCUSING ON MATHEMATICS …A CONVERSATION ABOUT EQUITY WITH  DR. KEITH LOOK………………………A recent report published by Populace that revealed Americans are beginning to shift their priorities for K-12 education – prioritizing the development of practical skills over college preparedness. Why?  #2 Territorium works with the Young People’s Project (YPP), an organization that trains high school students from communities struggling with systemic inequality to be math literacy workers (MLWs) who facilitate interactive math games and activities for small groups of middle school students. YPP is using Territorium’s CLR to track students’ competencies in math to support academic and social development.

The American Consortium for Equity in Education, publisher of the "Equity & Access" journal, celebrates and connects the educators, associations, community partners and industry leaders who are working to solve problems and create a more equitable environment for historically underserved pre K-12 students throughout the United States.
