PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP FOR THE EARLY GRADES

As we all navigate staffing shortages and the ever-evolving landscape of pre-K education, the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) continues to advocate for the needs of early learners. Hear from two NAESP Early Learning Leadership Fellows: Julie Bless, a retired principal from Grove, Oklahoma, and Kim Taylor, the current principal of the Curran Early Childhood Center in Dedham, Massachusetts, as they discuss:

  • Social-emotional learning as the cornerstone of early education
  • The necessity of developmentally appropriate practices
  • The vital role of professional associations in supporting educators

The American Consortium for Equity in Education, publisher of the "Equity & Access" journal, celebrates and connects the educators, associations, community partners and industry leaders who are working to solve problems and create a more equitable environment for historically underserved pre K-12 students throughout the United States.
