KidWind Supports New Activity and Coloring Book Featuring Women in Energy Careers

Authors partner with energy companies to allow kids to build, color, and doodle their way to discovering the world of energy!

Following the success of the children’s book Everyday Superheroes: Women in Energy Careers, authors Erin Twamley and Joshua Sneideman are partnering with Enel North America, a clean energy leader, and KidWind, an international leader in clean energy education, to create Everyday Superheroes: An Energy Coloring and Activity Book.

Inspired by the stories and careers of the real-life Energy Superheroes featured in Everyday Superheroes: Women in Energy Careers, the new coloring and activity book includes:

  • Hands-On Fun: Build a wind vane, solve tangrams, and create cut-out bookmarks.
  • Inspiring Artwork: Color real-life Energy Superheroes and learn about their energy careers.
  • Educational Doodles: Discover the wonders of electricity, wind, solar, energy storage, and more through interactive doodling.
  • Exploratory Learning: See how energy lights cities, builds homes, and powers devices.

“We look forward to helping get the new Energy Superheroes activity and coloring book in the hands of students interested in renewable energy,” said Michael Arquin, founder of KidWind. “This will be another great resource for students to learn more about the diverse energy careers available, from becoming an environmental scientist to working on a large renewable energy farm.”

The activities in the book can be used effectively in classrooms, at career fairs, and during KidWind Challenges, the ultimate clean energy learning experience, to help bring energy to life.

Enel, one of the largest renewable energy operators in North America, sponsored this project to inspire students toward a future in STEM fields, including fast-growing careers in renewables. Enel additionally created its own limited-edition coloring and activity book, Energy Superheroes: An Enel Coloring and Activity Book. This book is inspired by the stories and careers of seven Enel North America employees – real-life Energy Superheroes. Enel will be donating copies of this coloring and activity book to Enel partner school districts across North America. This project builds on Enel’s goal to ensure quality education, share opportunities in energy with students, and enable local schools to introduce and continue STEM activities as part of their educational curriculum.

The new coloring and activity book Everyday Superheroes: An Energy Coloring & Activity Book is set to release in October 2024 with publisher Wise Ink. To learn more and to preorder visit stemsuperheroes.com.
