Company’s all-inclusive curriculum, industry certifications, and data management platform helps schools and districts deliver comprehensive CTE programs
With the increased national emphasis on Career & Technical Education (CTE) and the demand for highly-skilled CTE students on the rise, schools and districts need high-quality, easy-to-use resources to support their CTE programs more than ever. iCEV, a trailblazer in Career & Technical Education (CTE) solutions, is meeting this need by providing new and updated solutions—including courses, certifications, and data management functionality—for the 2024-2025 school year.
“Supporting CTE educators and students is at the heart of what we do and to do that, we are constantly innovating,” said Clayton Franklin, Chief Product Officer of iCEV. “Our innovations launching this fall do several things – they address customer feedback to better meet their needs, they meet the most up-to-date industry standards, and they span a range of career clusters ensuring CTE programs—and the students they serve—will be successful this school year.”
iCEV has added 38 new courses to its library of more than 200 comprehensive courses and instructional resources, which cover all 16 career clusters. The new courses cover some of the most sought-after tracts such as Medical Assistant, Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Robotics, and Digital Literacy. Like all iCEV courses, these new courses include ready-to-use lesson plans, interactive and engaging learning opportunities, hands-on activities, and thought-provoking projects with real-world applications.
Additional pedagogical resources have been added to all courses, including translation and text-to-speech functionality for all interactive activities, an upgraded video player with searchable video transcript, and the ability to print and translate interactive assessments and answer keys.
In addition, iCEV now hosts two new industry certifications on its testing platform: the NRCS Fundamentals of Conservation & Sustainability in Agriculture Certification and the Sports Field Management Association Turfgrass Science Certification. Users can also access five new certification alignments which include AAFCS Pre-PAC Certifications, Entrepreneurship & Small Business, NHA – CCMA, ServeSafe – Food Handler, and ServeSafe – Food Manager.
To enhance the overall user experience, iCEV has updated its platform to Microsoft® Azure. The new platform will additionally provide users with:
- Improved load times for pages and features
- A smoother performance with a reduced potential for glitches, unexpected errors, and disruptions
- Enhanced security and protection
And, to help track and monitor data from the new offerings, customers now have access to the new Eduthings user experience. This groundbreaking platform allows CTE educators and administrators to securely manage, analyze, and report on CTE data related to the things that matter most—industry-based certifications, work-based learning, career and technical student organizations (CTSOs), advisory boards, and inventory.
New iCEV courses, certifications, and features, along with the improved Eduthings experience, are now available. Additional iCEV content and feature updates will be released throughout the 2024-2025 school year.
